The wine has a refined mineral finish and is a perfect choice as an aperitif or with light meals such as salads, sushi, or fish dishes. Served with a sea bass tartare and an anti-boise sauce, it's a "match made in heaven".
Additional Information
An idiosyncratic wine from the cheerful Greg and Juju, named after the winemakers' children and embodying the passion and dedication of the 5th generation of this prestigious winery.
Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache, which is quite daring, but the result is fantastic. It's a true Southern French rosé; the style of the wine is light, juicy, with a generous amount of fresh red fruit like redcurrants and raspberries. It also has a hint of Southern French spice.
This Greg & Juju Pinot Noir/Grenache Noir is produced by Domaine Preignes Le Vieux, a winery located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France. The Domaine Preignes le Vieux estate is centrally located in the beautiful Languedoc region and boasts a rich history dating back to 1202.
The castle is beautifully situated and features various original elements, such as a tower and an entrance gate, which can still be admired. The estate has developed into a versatile wine domain with a wide diversity of grape varieties. The current owners, brothers Jerôme, Robert, and Bruno Vic, are the fifth generation of winemakers and have set themselves the goal of exclusively producing high-quality wines.
The grapes are machine-harvested at night, with careful selection of the grapes. The grapes grow on a soil of volcanic rock, which contributes to the wine's unique taste and aromas.
After harvesting, the grapes are pneumatically pressed, and the press juice is separated from the solids. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, which helps preserve the wine's fresh aromas. By combining these factors, the winemaking process results in a refreshing and fruity rosé with a good balance between the grape varieties.
This wine has been awarded the Qualenvi Laureat certificate, which stands for sustainable winemaking with respect for nature.
