The company 'Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico' was founded in 1961. It was a cooperative that has since been acquired by Piccini. At Geografico, every vineyard that comes under management is evaluated by the geologist and the vineyard specialist. They advise on the best grape varieties and rootstocks. Subsequently, they assist the owner in setting up the vineyard and continuously with vineyard management. A skilled winemaking team produces the wine.
Finally, there are 'state-of-the-art' bottling lines. This quality philosophy is combined with a terroir-oriented approach: the grapes for the higher-end wines always come from a single vineyard and are therefore named after their estate. The wines are produced in a classic manner with minimal intervention in the vinification process. This results in honest, pleasant-to-drink wines that are also sharply priced.
