Tasting Note False Bay Whole Bunch Cinsault/Mourvedre
A salmon-pink rosé with an expressive nose of red berries, raspberries, and a hint of spice. Lively and fresh on the palate, with juicy red fruit, citrus, and a mineral undertone. Dry, elegant, and surprisingly complex for its price range. The whole bunch pressing ensures extra refinement and structure.
Wine & Food
False Bay Whole Bunch Cinsault/Mourvedre rosé is versatile. Delicious as an aperitif or with summer dishes such as grilled chicken, Provençal salads, charcuterie, couscous with grilled vegetables, or barbecue tuna. Also very suitable with lighter Asian dishes and tapas.
Other information
The wines are made at the Waterkloof Estate. In 2004, this magnificent wine estate was acquired by Paul Boutinot. Waterkloof is located on the Schaapenberg in Somerset West, Stellenbosch, South Africa, just three kilometers from the ocean.
False Bay Wines operates sustainably in the Coastal Region of South Africa. The grapes for this rosé are hand-harvested and ‘whole bunch’ pressed (entire bunches, without destemming), which contributes to a pure expression of fruit, freshness, and terroir.
The wine ferments naturally with wild yeasts, without the addition of artificial enzymes or flavors. A truly nature-friendly rosé with a lot of character for its price.
