Tasting note Duckhorn Vineyards Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
On the nose, aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry compote, plum, sweet spices, and hints of lavender. Complex and layered on the palate with notes of ripe dark fruit, dark chocolate, coffee, and star anise. Aging for 12 months in French oak barrels (40% new) gives the wine a round, velvety character with subtle notes of vanilla. The finish is rich and long.

When the grapes are at optimal ripeness, they are selectively harvested. A selection of the best grapes is made in the vineyards themselves. In the winery, the grapes are pressed and undergo temperature-controlled fermentation. Finally, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels. This gives the wine a round and soft character.
