Complex and layered on the palate with notes of ripe dark fruit, dark chocolate, coffee, and star anise. Maturation for 12 months in French oak barrels (40% new) gives the wine a round, velvety character with subtle vanilla notes. The finish is rich and long.

Additional information
Founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in Napa Valley, Duckhorn Vineyards has built a significant reputation. Craftsmanship and quality are paramount, and this is reflected in the diverse portfolio of wines that reflect the unique terroir of Napa Valley. The winery uses carefully selected grapes from various vineyards to produce consistently high-quality wines.
The grapes for Postmark Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon are carefully selected from different parts of Paso Robles. The diversity in soil, location, and climate allows Katie Povah to create a complex wine with a beautiful balance of concentration, structure, and elegance.
When the grapes are optimally ripe, they are selectively harvested. A selection of the best grapes is already made in the vineyards themselves. In the winery, the grapes are pressed, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. Finally, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. This gives the wine a round and soft character.

Fun fact: The name "Duckhorn" does not come from wine but from founder Dan Duckhorn's hobby, he loved duck hunting.
