Tasting Notes Champagne Le Marquis de Marillac Brut
Champagne Le Marquis de Marillac Brut is an elegant champagne with a golden-yellow color and a sparkling mousse. Floral, green apples, and juicy pears on the nose. This champagne has a pleasant freshness and a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Finally, a round finish with hints of plums.
Wine & Food Pairing
This accessible, soft champagne is good at any time of the day. For a late breakfast on a weekend morning, a festive lunch, or as an aperitif for a good dinner. Appetizers with crab, sea bass, salmon, tuna, as well as egg dishes, pair beautifully with this bubbly.
Additional Information
Le Marquis de Marillac Brut is produced by De Venoge, an internationally acclaimed Champagne house that combines small-scale production and high quality with a unique character.
Champagne house De Venoge was founded in 1837 by the Swiss Henri-Marc de Venoge. The house is known for its refined, vinous style Champagnes with a beautiful balance between fruit and elegance. Especially in the last 10 years, the quality of the champagnes has increased enormously, resulting in high ratings from international wine critics.
The strict selection of grapes and base wines, and a very long maturation on the lees, give the wines their special character. In addition to grapes from their own vineyards, the house buys grapes from carefully selected winegrowers. The house strives for top quality: only the juice from the first pressing is used, and the wines mature for a minimum of 3 years instead of the mandatory 15 months in the original bottle.
