Tasting Note Castel Firmian Sauvignon Blanc
A fresh and aromatic Sauvignon Blanc from Trentino, with a pale yellow color and green reflections. The aroma reveals typical Sauvignon notes of gooseberries, elderflower, green pepper, and a hint of tomato leaf. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with a beautiful minerality and well-balanced acidity.

Castel Firmian Sauvignon Blanc is delicious with grilled or smoked fish, shrimp, shellfish, asparagus, and salads. Also very tasty with chicken or other white meat and semi-hard cheeses.
Additional Information
The Sauvignon Blanc is cultivated on the medium-high hills of Trentino, along the Adige River. Here, the large temperature differences between day and night ensure a good development of the acidity and the aromatic character of the grapes.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After gentle pressing, a short skin maceration follows, intended to preserve the characteristic aromas of Sauvignon Blanc as best as possible. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperature.
Mezzacorona was one of the first cooperatives in Italy and today represents a large group of wineries from the far north (Trentino) to the deep south (Sicily). The vineyards of winemaker Mezzocorona are located in Trentino and Alto Adige, the region between Verona and the Alps in Italy.
