Tasting Note Castel Firmian Moscato Giallo
An aromatic, sweet white wine from Trentino, made from Moscato Giallo. The nose is exuberant and seductive, with aromas of papaya, melon, banana, peach and quince, complemented by delicate floral notes. The taste is sweet and intense, but at the same time has a pleasant freshness and minerality. This keeps the wine beautifully balanced and prevents it from becoming heavy or cloying.
Wine & Food Pairing
Castel Firmian Moscato Giallo is delicious with strudel, fruit tarts, apple pie, chocolate desserts, and cookies. In Trentino, Moscato Giallo is traditionally paired with Zelten, a regional specialty with dried and candied fruit and nuts.
Additional Information
Castel Firmian's Moscato Giallo comes from the southern part of Trentino, where the mild climate and cooling breeze from the lakes create ideal conditions for this aromatic grape.
The grapes are hand-picked and selected. After gentle pressing, a short cold maceration follows, after which fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. This ensures that the distinct aromas of the grape are well preserved.

Fun Fact
Moscato Giallo literally means "yellow Muscat". The name refers to the yellow-golden color of the ripe grapes. The grape is also closely related to the large Muscat family, which is known worldwide for its highly aromatic character.
