Deep ruby red in color with a complex nose of ripe plums, black cherries, and wild berries, complemented by notes of tobacco, cocoa, coffee, leather, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is powerful yet refined, with ripe tannins, a lively freshness, and a long, elegant finish where fruit, spices, and a subtle touch of oak come together beautifully. Already impressive, but easily cellarable for 10 to 15 years. In good vintages, the wine will develop for even longer.

The BIO Villa Bucci Rosso is the prestigious red wine from Villa Bucci in the Italian region of Marche. This organic Rosso Piceno DOC is produced exclusively in excellent harvest years and comes from old vineyards around Ostra Vetere. The combination of low yields, long wood aging, and bottle aging results in a powerful, elegant wine with impressive aging potential.

This blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese undergoes long-term aging in large oak barrels and develops aromas of ripe dark fruit, tobacco, cocoa, and Mediterranean herbs. A powerful, elegant Rosso Piceno with great depth and excellent aging potential.

The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately by plot. After fermentation, the wine ages for 24 to 30 months in large Slavonian and French oak barrels, followed by a long period of bottle aging. This careful maturation ensures great depth, refinement, and a beautiful balance between fruit, wood, and tannins.

The Bucci winery has been among the absolute elite of Italy for years and is primarily known for its elegant Verdicchios with great finesse, minerality, and excellent aging potential.

Rosso Piceno is the largest DOC for red wine in the Marche region. The combination of Montepulciano and Sangiovese has existed here for centuries.
