Notes of ripe fruit such as guava and peach and an exotic nose of ripe muscat and white roses. A creamy, rich taste without excess but with fresh acidity and a slight bitterness. Full-bodied and rich wine. Beautiful shimmer of straw and golden yellow hues.

Additional Information

The biodynamic winery Lunaria originates from Orsogna in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The wine is made from 100% Malvasia grapes, has no added yeasts, and is unfiltered. The wine is stored in stainless steel tanks for approximately 4 months and then further aged in the bottle.

Cantina Orsogna is a cooperative with over 600 partners in Abruzzo. The talented winemaker is Camillo Zulli. All produced wines come from the area located 15 km from the Adriatic coast near the second highest mountain in the Apennines, the Majella. The vineyards are located at an average altitude of between 300 and 450 meters.

This Lunaria La Belle Malvasia has a Demeter certification. This stands for biodynamic. In biodynamic viticulture, artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides are prohibited. People, animals, and the environment are highly valued here. The connection between the earth, animals, plants, and the climate is also considered. The position of the sun, moon, and planets is observed. The interaction between all these elements plays an important role in the preparation of this wine.
