Tasting Notes BIO Bravo Douro Tinto
In the glass, a bright purplish-red colour. The aroma is fresh and floral, dominated by violets, followed by juicy red fruits such as raspberry, cherry, and red plum. A subtle hint of black pepper adds extra depth. On the palate, the wine is elegant and silky smooth, with a supple texture and refreshing tension. The finish is lightly spicy, refined, and remarkably alluring.
Wine & Food Pairing
BIO Bravo Douro Tinto pairs well with light meat dishes, pasta, and a well-curated cheese board.
Additional Information
Inspired by Bravo, the mythical protector of the Douro, this white wine embodies freshness, purity, and altitude. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards, it combines minerality and vibrant fruit expression in a clear, energetic style.
The grapes for this wine come from Quinta da Trovisca, located at an altitude of 450 to 500 meters in the Douro, where schist soils and altitude provide freshness and minerality.
After gentle destemming, the grapes ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel at 24°C. Light and sporadic pump-overs ensure gentle tannin extraction. After ten days of skin contact, malolactic fermentation takes place in the tank. The wine then matures for 18 months in stainless steel to preserve its purity, freshness, and suppleness.
