Tasting Notes Aubert & Mathieu Hautes Pistes Pinot Noir
On the palate, the Hautes Pistes Pinot Noir reveals aromas of raspberries, red berries, and Marasca cherries. Elegant and fruit-rich.
Wine & Food Pairing
This Pinot Noir from Aubert & Mathieu is an excellent choice with poultry and finger food. Or how about lightly aged semi-soft cheeses like Reblochon and Kernhem. Optionally chill lightly for even more fruit.
Additional Information
Hautes Pistes stands for 'skiing off-piste', daring. The bottle's label represents that, and the wine certainly does too!
The Pinot Noir is represented by a man with his head in the clouds. This wine is a call to imagination and to daydreaming. In IGP Pays d'Oc, this Pinot Noir offers delicate and fresh aromas. This undeniable freshness is due to the high-altitude vineyards selected for this wine.
Jean-Charles Mathieu had a financial career in Paris, and Anthony Aubert was successful in wine marketing in the US and Thailand. Two young men who knew each other from high school in Carcassonne, the heart of winemaking in Languedoc. Despite their successful start in business, their true calling eventually caught up with them. In September 2018, they reconnected and decided to embark on a wine merchant adventure.
