Tasting note Les Bertholets Réserve Merlot
A wonderfully smooth and sultry Merlot from the Languedoc. The nose and palate are full of ripe cherries, red currants, and plums, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, chocolate, and spices. The wine has a velvety and round structure, with soft tannins and a pleasant, lingering finish. Thanks to the oak aging, it gains just a little extra depth and character without losing its fruity and accessible style.
Food Pairing
Les Bertholets Réserve Merlot is a versatile companion to stews, grilled meat, pasta with meat sauce, pizza, and a nice cheese board. Also delicious to drink on its own, optionally slightly chilled at around 15 °C.

This Réserve Merlot comes from the heart of the Languedoc region in the south of France, where the grapes have been carefully selected from the best vineyards.

The name Les Bertholets refers to the wine brand of Domaine Paul Albert. The Réserve Merlot has become such a recognizable house style within the range that it is also featured by restaurants as an accessible, versatile Merlot. Moreover, the wine is often served slightly chilled: at around 15 °C, the sultry fruit comes to the fore even more beautifully.
