It is part of one of Italy's largest and most prominent wine companies: Mezzacorona. The name Feudo Arancio is derived from the nearby lake 'Lago Arancio' (orange lake). In 2001, it was acquired by Mezzacorona in a very neglected state. The vineyards were uprooted and the winery demolished.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eNo expense or effort was spared to build a new, modern winery and establish new vineyards, complete with an irrigation system. The winery is designed as an homage to Sicilian traditions, with great respect for the environment and nature.
